Before Alnasay, he had over 35 years of diversified experience in the development of regulations, review & supervision of various functions of commercial banks, DFIs, and microfinance banks as Central banker. As an international Islamic banking expert, he worked with IFSB and currently working with AAOIFI on it’s various projects. He also conducted exposure visits of 10 countries and reviewed their legal and regulatory framework. The areas of expertise are licensing for a new bank/branch, conversion from conventional banking to Islamic banking, and all types of regulatory, supervisory, and taxation matters including Islamic & digital banking. Having rich working exposure on different areas of Islamic financial services with high profile government & industry level committees /sub-committees / working groups locally.He is also an expert trainer / facilitator / technical assistance provider in different areas of banking & finance. He has three Masters degrees in Statistics, Economics, and Banking & finance. IBP (commercial banking diploma), PGD (Islamic banking and finance from CIE), IBCC-NIBAF & ACSS (IBA-CEIF).
